CRIXGAMING VR started his first step toward the CRIX brand on January 19, 2024, with a channel called CRIX SMP. At the time, the focus was simple and familiar: Minecraft. He posted short-form videos based on his Minecraft Bedrock realm, also named CRIX SMP, along with a handful of command tutorials and skits. It was the kind of content made by someone learning how YouTube worked while building a small community around something he enjoyed.

Everything shifted when he got a Meta Quest 2. While exploring games on the headset, he discovered Gorilla Tag. The first night he played it, he stayed up all night, completely hooked. That experience changed the direction of his content. On April 12, 2025, he started a new channel that would become the one people recognize today: CRIXGAMING VR. At first, the channel name was written as CRIX_GAMING_VR, but he quickly decided he didn't like the underscore and rebranded it to CRIXGAMING VR.

His first three uploads were straightforward gameplay videos, mostly him walking around the Gorilla Tag maps and getting a feel for the game while learning how to record in VR. After those early uploads, he took a short break. When he returned, he posted three more videos, then stepped away again for a longer period. During that time, he upgraded his setup and got a Meta Quest 3S.

On October 5, 2025, he came back with a new approach, focusing more on short-form content. Not long after, on October 15, 2025, he went live on YouTube for the first time. Streaming became a major part of the channel, with Gorilla Tag as the main game, alongside other VR and non-VR content. Over time, the streams became more consistent, and the audience steadily grew.

On February 11, 2026, CRIXGAMING VR reached 1,000 subscribers, a milestone that marked how far the channel had come. Recently, he made the switch to SteamVR for Gorilla Tag and continues to stream Gorilla Tag and other games. What started as a Minecraft realm run by a regular player grew into a channel centered on both Gorilla Tag and Minecraft, built through persistence, experimentation, and community support. He appreciates everyone who has been part of the journey, from the early CRIX SMP days to where the channel stands now.
